Charles Leben is professor of law, emeritus (september 2010), at Université Panthéon-Assas since 1991. He graduated from the Faculté de droit de Paris (1970), from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes commerciales (1967) and from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (1970). He is professor of public law since 1976 (Agrégé de droit public). Charles Leben has been teaching International economic law (GATT/WTO - IBRD - IMF), International investment law, international law on trade (WTO law), Community (UE) Law, and philosophy of law. He is, for the academic year 2011-2012, Research fellow at NYU (Straus Center). His fields of interests are International law both general and economic and published numerous studies among others: The Advancement of International Law, London, Hart 2010, La procédure arbitrale relative aux investissements internationaux (2010).
